Lightning strikes in the tree and consequences…

Lightning strikes in the tree and consequences…

Today I was with a friend to check the insulation resistance of the measuring cabinet to the switch cabinet in the house after a lightning strike.

Lightning struck a tree about 100m away from the house, passed along the root of a tree root below the road, broke out of the ground and leaped onto the metal fence of a neighbor’s estate.

Sl. 1. Izgled drveta u koje je udario grom…
Fig. 1. The appearance of a tree struck by thunder …

By the fence, she came to my friend’s electrical measuring cabinet, rolled off a piece of wall behind the cabinet, slammed into the distribution cabinet and smashed it electrically.

Colleagues speak to electricians:

  1. Like on film,

2. A similar thing happened to me …
Thunder hit a neighbor’s tree and to me (probably via a vein of wood) electricity came to a house where a satellite dish was mounted (low on the wall) and entered the satellite receiver via a satellite cable and via HDMI into TV, and from TV via HDMI cable to PS3, DVD Player, PS2, then via LAN (from TV because it is smart TV) to router and from router to computer … All m burned out and was unplugged from wall outlet and almost half a meter away from the socket …

Sl. 2. Bliži izgled drveta sa Sl. 1…
Fig. 2. A closer look of the tree of FIG. 1 …

3. 7-8 years ago I saw a house where lightning damage was quite large. Lightning just hit the house. Fortunately, the family were not at home. Among other things, lightning melted a flexible boiler tube …!

This is luck, so there was no one in the house, otherwise no one would survive. Yes, and since the house is in the village and is not connected to the water supply network, but has a water tank and hydrophore, otherwise the whole house would be flooded.

Sl. 3. Izgled oštećenog stabla drveta sa oguljenom korom…
Fig. 3. Appearance of damaged tree trunk with peel bark …

This is just one example of the practice and issues with lightning, thunder and atmospheric discharges during stormy weather in general. Otherwise, there are many examples in practice.

Udar groma u drvo i posledice…

Original work. Everything is clear from photos.
